VII International Music Festival
- Presence at events
More than 250 students from International schools in Spain, France, England, Italy and Andorra gathered last week at the Agora Lledó International School for the VII International Music Festival “Broadway Hall of Fame”, the theme focused on the musical genre: «one of the most popular genres of the twentieth century and considered by many the opera of our time», in the words of Víctor Peris, Coordinator of the festival and head of the school’s Music Conservatory.
The VII International Music Festival was held from 29th January to 2nd of February, with a series of activities such as soundpainting or a luthier workshop that were combined with the rehearsal of the closing concert at the Auditorium and Palau de Congresos de Castellón , which took place on Saturday, 2nd February at 11am. In this spectacular and emotional closing concert, which was attended by the mayor of Castellón, Amparo Marco, the young musicians performed pieces of renowned musicals from the cinema and the theatre of authors such as Leonard Bernstein, Linda Campbell or Elton John.
The students came from International Schools of the NACE Schools group, such as Agora Sant Cugat International School, Agora Portals International School, Agora International School Barcelona, Agora International School Madrid, Areteia School, St. George’s English School, O Castro Brittish School, EIB Victor Hugo School, Stonar School, ICS London, ICS Milan and Rome International School. With this event, Agora Lledó highlights their great interest in the musical formation of students within their curricular project: certified as the Official Music Conservatory, the school has two orchestras and two choirs that regularly participate in concerts and auditions inside and outside the Valencian Community.
